About Us
Who is the 319?
We are a group of alcoholics working together to get and stay sober. Even though we come from all different backgrounds and geographical areas, we are all learning to live our lives one day at a time. Everyone who has a desire to stop drinking is welcome to become a member of our family as we trudge the road of happy destiny.
When can I stop by?
Since March 19th, 2020 we have had an AA meeting online without interruption 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We have a new chair every hour while the host and co hosts in the background make sure to greet new people, post pertinent information, and change your screen name if you like.
But why?
Because, like weeds, nothing can stop a recovered alcoholic from sprouting up. When tragedy locked down the world, we found a place online where we could continue to share our experience, strength, and hope.
What is the point?
Early in 2020, the world was struck with a global pandemic that forced us all into quarantine. Alcoholics around the world searched for a way to attend a meeting. Along came the 319 where we began to offer a place for alcoholics to meet online. On March 19th, this meeting started and we’ve done nothing but grow and improve the experience!
Where do you live?
Thanks to modern technology and the creation of the Zoom platform, we meet in a virtual room with plenty of seats so we can accommodate all those who want what we have and are willing to go to any length to get it.
